The idea of this EP has been in the works for about 6 months now, while the range of songs has been worked on for almost a year. The title, "Testing the Waters" is about me as a producer finding where I am comfortable. The EP starts slowly, and shows where my tastes were when I began producing. "Interlude" is a reflection on my lack of complexity in my tracks. "Break it Down" and "Saucin" are tracks that I took inspiration from other artists from - Flagz & Quix. Flagz has been a huge help to me ever since I began producing and has helped me with multiple things such as sound design and how to mix/master tracks properly, so big s/o to you, Christoffer. The next 3 tracks are a reflection of when I began to take more time on my songs. "Lights Out" was the most complex track on this entire EP, and took me the most time to complete. A lot of problems were face during the making of that track - and my POS laptop didn't help. "Beat Em Up" is a track that I took inspiration from Herobust on, like his track "Dirty Work." The final track of the EP, "RCKTHS," is a reflection of me when I used to play the guitar, which I gave up for other reasons, and regret a whole lot. I grew up on rock and metal music, and it was a nice twist to add the guitar and percussion used in those genres.
Blood, sweat and tears went into this EP and I'm so excited to finally share it with everyone.
